Sinkholes: Mitigation
Mitigation of the threats of sinkhole flooding and collapse is critical. Not only are problems with sinkholes common throughout much of the Barren River Area, it is also difficult to buy insurance to protect against the costs associated with damage caused by flooding or collapse of sinkholes. Some steps toward mitigation of sinkhole problems are provided next.
