National Climatic Data Center (NCDC)
 
The National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) is the world's largest archive for climate information. They are the source for certified climate records.

A variety of popular products are available, including:

Storm Data - Monthly report on storms and unusual weather. Includes narrative, pictures, and impacts of selected events.
Local Climatological Data - Monthly and annual summaries of temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, cloudiness, and wind speed for selected cities.
Climatological Data - Monthly and annual summaries of daily temperatures and precipitation for an extensive network or stations. Also includes daily snowfall, snow depth, evaporation, and soil temperature data.
Hourly Precipitation Data - Hourly precipitation data from a limited network of recording rain gages.
 
Midwestern Regional Climate Center
The Midwestern Regional Climate Center offers subscription access to their Midwestern Climate Information System (MICIS). Users can access real-time and historical climate data, perform database queries, and access derived climate products. Service climatologists on staff are also available to help you find the information you need.
 
National Weather Service (NWS) Forecast Offices
The National Weather Service (NWS) Forecast Offices provide recent local climate summaries for selected cities in their service regions. Climate summaries for cities in Kentucky are available through the following NWS offices:

Charleston, WV
Jackson, KY
Louisville, KY
Paducah, KY
Wilmington, OH
 
Kentucky Climate Center
The Kentucky Climate Center maintains an archive of historical climate data and documents in various forms, including print, microfiche, and microfilm.
